Professor Krzysztof Matyjaszewski—A Pioneer in Polymer Science

Welcome to this special issue of the Journal of Polymer Science celebrating the outstanding academic career and legacy of Professor Krzysztof (“Kris”) Matyjaszewski in honor of his 70th birthday. Special thanks to Wiley and the Editorial Staff of JPS for giving us the opportunity to host this issue, which includes over 25 papers from leading researchers at the cutting edge of polymer science and engineering. Professor Matyjaszewski is currently the J. C. Warner Professor of Natural Sciences and a University Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Carnegie Mellon University. He is also a member of the US National Academy of Engineering, US National Academy of Sciences, Australian Academy of Science, Russian Academy of Sciences, and Polish Academy of Sciences.
